WELCOME TO MUSIC ON PEARL!
Music on Pearl started in 2024 when a bunch of music-loving members of the UU church had the idea of
hosting a couple of concerts each year, inviting regional and national talent to entertain folks in Stockton
and the surrounding area. Our performers have expressed what a great venue we have – with excellent
acoustics and fun audiences. Concerts are family friendly and open to anyone in the area. ALL are
welcome. MoP concerts are not fundraisers – the money from ticket sales and sponsorships all go
towards musicians’ fees and related expenses.

Ernie Hendrickson and Friends return to Music on Pearl to play GRATEFUL DEAD (and
songs of their own). Ernie will share many of his own works but will be celebrating
some of the world’s favorite Grateful Dead tunes too, making this a show to remember.
The family-friendly afternoon show is on Saturday, September 12 and starts at 2 pm.
Doors open at 1:30. The concert will be held at the historic UU Church at 219 N Pearl
St in Stockton. There is plenty of on-street parking and the venue is handicap
accessible. Light drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Tickets are $20, and
$10 for students and are available at uuchurchofstockton.org or from a committee
member.
NOTE: If you purchase a ticket on line, you will be asked to add an amount for Zeffy,
the ticketing service that we use. A generous amount will automatically be filled in that
space, but you can change that amount to whatever you are comfortable, including $0.
Mike O’Cull, at Indie Band Guru, reviewed Ernie’s work saying “Americana
singer/songwriter/guitarist Ernie Hendrickson delivers a dose of soft-spoken genius to
the world…His songs aim to address some very current issues in American life,
specifically the senses of alienation and commercialization that are overwhelming a
great many of our citizens at this very moment. Doing this is an amazingly tricky
balancing act between music born of the past and stories told about the present and
most songwriters struggle to do it in a convincing way. Hendrickson, however, pulls it off
like a boss and displays an innate knack for combining character, setting, and meaning.
